Putin needed to divert the attention and resources of the West from Ukraine to the Middle East, and this is precisely what happened. After the Russia-sponsored attack, for more than half a year, Ukraine was deprived of US military aid, and all the attention was redirected to the Middle East, which gave Russia a massive advantage against Ukraine.
The destruction of Gaza makes Putin's crimes in Ukraine the new normal, not a war crime or genocide.
It was not only a Russia-sponsored Hamas terrorist attack. It was Putin's special operation, supported by Netanyahu, or their joint special operation from the start.
