До Качанівської жіночої колонії №54 Харкова йомовірно доставили Юлію Тимошенко.

Так, кілька хвилин тому туди заїхало кілька автомобілів охорони міліції, включаючи спецавтомобіль "Форд" (з затемненими вікнами), у якому ймовірно могла бути Тимошенко.

Представники міліції не спростували і не підтвердили журналістам факт прибуття до колонії Тимошенко.

У ці хвилини біля прохідної в’язниці зібралася велика група журналістів, кілька активістів "Батьківщини" з партійними прапорами, по периметру в’язниці зранку курсують автомобілі міліції.

Працівники колонії на прохідній повідомили, що сьогодні в’язниця закрита для побачень з ув’язненими.

Пізніше, станом на 14:20 цю інформацію підтвердив начальник Качанівської виправної колонії Іван Первушкін.

"Юлія Тимошенко прибула півгодини тому згідно з нарядом Державної пенітенціарної служби. У даний момент вона розміщена на ділянці тимчасового СІЗО і утримується там згідно з діючим законодавством", - сказав він.

Як повідомлялося, за даними Державної пенітенціарної служби України, сьогодні, 30 грудня, о 8-й годині ранку екс-прем’єра Тимошенко було етаповано з Київського слідчого ізолятора до місця відбування покарання - у Харків.

За даними захисника колишнього прем’єр-міністра Сергія Власенка, Тимошенко етаповано до Качанівської колонії.

Донька Юлії Тимошенко просить журналістів не тиражувати "брехню влади" про комфортні умови перевезення Тимошенко та 12 чемоданів.

За словами доньки, Тимошенко "вранці винесли на руках, по-звірячому кинули в автозак, незважаючи на важкий стан здоров‘я, та повезли в невідомому напрямку"

Євгенія підкреслила, що ані вона, ані адвокат не були попереджені про це, передає прес-служба БЮТ.

Вона попросила журналістів "припинити розповсюджувати брехню про дванадцять валіз" та повідомила, що у Лук’янівському СІЗО сьогодні відмовилися прийняти передачу для Юлії Тимошенко, мотивуючи це тим, що Тимошенко в СІЗО вже немає.

"О шостій ранку ми зайняли чергу, щоб передати мамі передачу до Нового року, але її не прийняли, сказали, що такої людини в Лук’янівському СІЗО немає",- розповіла Євгенія.

A senior Ukrainian prosecutor in charge of the trial of former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko left little doubt that an appeal will uphold her prison sentence for abuse of office and said further charges, including that of commissioning a murder, would be pressed against her.

Speaking to journalists during a rare visit to Brussels, Deputy Prosecutor General Renat Kuzmin displayed fierce determination to convict Tymoshenko in crimes worthy of a spy novel.

However, while expressing concern over what they see as a politically-motivated trial, Western diplomats have stressed they did not consider Tymoshenko a saint.

KYIV/WARSAW -- Political allies of former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko say that a Kyiv court's adjournment of her trial is an attempt to gain leverage with international partners, RFE/RL's Ukrainian Service reports.
Judge Rodion Kireyev unexpectedly announced in Kyiv on September 12 that Tymoshenko's trial will be postponed until September 27, after agreeing that she needs more time to prepare for the final stage of the trial.

AS European foreign ministers get ready for their Gymnich meeting on Friday and Saturday, it would be nice to think that Ukraine's increasingly casual attitude to the rule of law would be on the agenda. In early August a bunch of senior Americans dealing with Europe wrote to the leaders of the EU (Herman Van Rompuy, José Manuel Barroso, Catherine Ashton and Radosław Sikorski) asking them to suspend Ukraine's EU talks following the arrest of Yulia Tymoshenko.
It was a private letter, not an open one, but got no reply.

Thousands of people have protested in Kiev against the trial and detention of Ukraine's former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko.

The march took place on the 20th anniversary of Ukraine's independence, overshadowing official celebrations.
The demonstrations were dispersed after a stand-off with police in riot gear.
Mrs Tymoshenko is charged with abuse of office. Her supporters see the trial as a political prosecution designed to stop her running in future elections.
Some Western governments, including the United States, have also expressed concern that the case against Mrs Tymoshenko is politically motivated.

The Kiev court ordered the 50-year old Tymoshenko to be put behind bars for the rest of the trial after she "systematically" flouted rules by refusing to stand up and by calling witnesses names.

Янукович победил. Начал формировать вертикаль власти. Процесс прошел на удивление легко и без особых сопротивлений как внутри страны, так и без особой критики вне ее. И началась эйфория. Казалось, что весь мир в кармане и можно делать практически все что хочется.

The conflict in Transnistria has been frozen for nearly 20 years at this point, plenty of time for the stand-off to establish very deep roots. This offers both benefits and drawbacks to any resolution of the problem. On one hand, the conflicting sides no longer feel the extreme hostility that had to be overcome in the early 1990s. With the emotional tension declining, the ground is set for communicating and resolving both current issues between the two sides in the conflict and strategic issues that will resolve the problem altogether.

Relations between Ukraine and Russia have been remarkably cold since Viktor Yanukovych was elected president a year ago. It has been a long time since we saw the friendly hugs of Yanukovych and President Dmitry Medvedev.

Ever since pundits first started labeling Yanukovych as the “pro-Russian president,” it sparked the opposite reaction. “Ukraine is not going to be a province of Russia” has become almost a catchphrase for the Ukrainian authorities.

Ukraine will not sacrifice its European integration for a closer friendship with Russia on the Kremlin’s terms.

In recent weeks, Moscow has stepped up pressure on Ukraine to join its Customs Union, which already includes former Soviet republics Belarus and Kazakhstan.
Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said on a visit to Kiev on April 12 that membership would bring benefits of up to $9 billion a year for Ukraine. Other officials suggested Ukraine could save $8 billion a year on its gas bill to Russia if it joined the Customs Union.

Российская власть официально признала нежелание Украины интегрироваться в Таможенный союз и уже пригрозила сворачиванием ряда российско-украинских проектов и применением санкций к украинскому экспорту. Эксперты отмечают, что публичный отказ Украины от восточного вектора интеграции упростит переговоры о создании зоны свободной торговли с ЕС.

Консультации правительств Украины и России относительно интеграции Украины в Таможенный союз (ТС) не убедили Киев в необходимости поддержки этого вектора развития. "К сожалению, мы приходим к пониманию, что Украину участие в Таможенном союзе и Едином экономическом пространстве не привлекает. Мы с уважением относимся к такой позиции и будем выстраивать линию наших отношений с украинскими партнерами исходя из нее",– заявил в пятницу в Ялте первый вице-премьер РФ Игорь Шувалов. Свой вывод он пояснил тем, что украинские граждане воспринимают ТС как альтернативу Евросоюзу: "Мы видим, что не все наши аргументы воспринимаются, и общественность Украины по-прежнему больше ориентирована в сторону европейской интеграции".

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin expressed nostalgia for Soviet times on Tuesday in urging Ukraine to join Russia's new customs union with Kazakhstan and Belarus.
Ukraine has resisted pressure to join the Moscow-led union, preferring instead to pursue a free-trade agreement with the European Union.
During a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart, Putin said the customs union would stimulate growth in whole sectors of the Ukrainian economy as he touted the benefits of the economic integration formed when the countries were all part of the Soviet Union.
"The technological links from the Soviet period are still functioning, and one partner cannot be efficient without another," Putin said. "That is what we must think about and give a second wind to the capabilities formed during the previous decades."

The implementation of the Eastern Partnership program will enable its participants to not only bring their countries closer to the European Union, but at some point apply for EU membership, European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule has said.

In an interview with the Euractiv Web site, the European Commissioner said that the Eastern Partnership was aimed at introducing European standards in the countries taking part in the initiative.

EUOBSERVER / COMMENT - The Ukrainian leadership is trying to demonstrate its democratic face. This could be the consequence of criticism towards President Viktor Yanukovych, which is of late constantly being expressed by Western governments. The Ukrainian authorities are throwing the best of the best at succeeding in finishing negotiations on the Free Trade Area. This year could be crucial for future relations between the EU and Ukraine, and as such for the future of the whole of Europe.

However, President Yanukovych and his team made too many mistakes last year to regain the trust of their foreign partners with the help of a few decisions of this kind. So it would not be a big surprise if the European Union does not yet believe that Ukrainian authorities have cured themselves of the authoritarian syndrome.

Газові угоди 2009 року можуть бути поставлені під сумнів і в судовому порядку скасовані.Про це заявив перший заступник генпрокурора Ренат Кузьмін в ефірі телеканалу "Інтер". "Чи можна говорити про те, що підписання цього контракту було з грубими порушеннями українського закону? Так, це так. З української сторони всі дії по підписанню контракту носили протиправний характер", - уточнив Кузьмін.

"Це означає, що і сам контракт і всі дії з виконання цього контракту можуть бути поставлені під сумнів і в судовому порядку скасовані. У тому числі і в міжнародних судах", - зазначив він. Як відомо, ГПУ порушила кримінальну справу щодо екс-прем'єра Юлії Тимошенко за фактом перевищення влади та службових повноважень при укладанні газових контрактів в 2009 році.

Общественно-политическая дискуссия на тему целесообразности или нецелесообразности вступления Украины в Таможенный союз России, Беларуси и Казахстана сегодня весьма далека от образцовой. Даже политики слабо разбираются в этой теме и говорят скорее о каком-то символическом ее значении, взаимной экономической интеграции и малосодержательной «дружбе народов».

Простые люди, которые не очень осведомленные в вопросах международных ориентиров новой украинской власти, относятся к Таможенному союзу (ТС) двойственно. Одни, безусловно, за, причем на уровне первичных инстинктов. В их представлении быть за вступление в Таможенный союз — это все равно, что быть за Януковича. Это так же, как прежде Чапаев объяснял Фурманову, что он за тот Интернационал, в котором Ленин. Другая часть, безусловно, против. Поскольку, снова-таки на уровне инстинктов,что-то такое слышится им в этом Таможенном союзе типично  антигосударственное и антиукраинское.
