Even more concerning is that there will be more tornadoes, which will be even more damaging. In January, I wrote an analytical article that shows how Russians weaponize the weather against the US. I explored two main topics: how Russians artificially heat the oceans and the Gulf of Mexico to weaponize hurricanes, storms, tornadoes, and flooding against the US, and how Russia weaponizes the polar vortex by artificially disrupting it. In this article, I explain what military-technical means the Russians use to weaponize tornadoes, thunderstorms, and other natural disasters, drawing on inventions from the USSR era.

Soviet Thunder and Lightning Bolt-Producing Generator
An example of a Soviet-era geophysical weapon is an abandoned apparatus in the forests of the Moscow Region - the largest high-voltage generators in the USSR for producing lightning bolts. It could produce a voltage comparable to that of one second of electricity production from all Soviet power stations combined. This "test stand" was built in 1968, with the primary purpose of testing the durability of aircraft and electrical equipment against lightning and thunderstorm attacks.

| A Soviet classified object known as Test stands of the High Voltage Research Center of the All-Russia Electrotechnical Institute. |
The device consists of three giant transformer cascades, a platform, and a support facility. The tallest tower is its most powerful generator, capable of producing electric discharges of 9 million volts. Such a voltage can be found in natural lightning. Soviet scientists at the All-Russia Electrotechnical Institute produced a 150-meter-long discharge using this generator.
After the collapse of the USSR and the underfunding of the science sector, the test stand fell out of use, and the entire test ground is owned by Rosatom, a Russian state corporation that specializes in nuclear energy, nuclear non-energy goods, and high-tech products. Which makes sense, as Rosatom is at the forefront of climate/weather/geophysical warfare, since all military-technical means and geophysical weapons are nuclear-powered.
Using the former soviet experience, now Russia can manufacture much more compact, flexible, mobile, and more potent nuclear-powered apparatus, capable of producing artificial lightning bolts, thunderstorms, and "ready to use” supercells for tornadoes in any part of the world Russia has access to. As the US is first and foremost a sphere of Russian interests, Russia chose the Mexican high deserts as a foothold, which doesn’t exclude the presence of such apparatus inside the US.
Exploiting Natural Setup
Positioning in Mexico's high desert is strategic, as the generators’ outreach encompasses most of the US tornado alley. It should coincide with the dryline, a north-south weather boundary, most common in the US Great Plains during spring, that separates hot, dry air (from the desert southwest) to the west from warm, moist air (from the Gulf of Mexico) to the east. When the dryline, in turn, coincides with the front of the cold Arctic masses, it creates a setup in which temperature and humidity differences maximize the energy required to power devastating tornadoes.
I described in detail in previous research how the Russians used all three components: artificially disrupted the Polar vortex, which generated an arctic cold blast; artificially heated the waters of the Gulf of Mexico by Russian nuclear mini-reactors; and generated supercells with a high-voltage generator to produce one of the deadliest tornado outbreaks in December 2021. The operation was so successful that it provoked the beginning of Russia’s perceived omnipotence era, with Putin a week later demanding NATO withdrawal from the former USSR’s sphere of influence and starting a war against Ukraine a couple of months later.
To repeat the success of that deadly operation, all three elements are necessary. And in March of 2026, they coincide again due to a ‘false spring with warm weather preceding the arrival of the Arctic air blast, generated by an artificially disrupted polar vortex.
Modern Version of High-Voltage Generator and Its Use
As pictures show, the unprecedentedly powerful supercells acting as “engines,” according to meteorologists, and producing one of the most destructive tornadoes in the US, came from Mexico too. The logic behind comparing supercells with engines allows us to presuppose that they can be, or were, produced artificially.

Modernized nuclear-powered apparatus producing super-powerful super cells could be strategically placed in the Mexican high desert to be used, when the weather setup is right - when the Arctic cold front, provoked by artificially disrupted polar vortex, meets warm, moist front from the Gulf of Mexico, produced by artificially heated waters.
The picture below, published in May 2004, shows how supercells form using Russian apparatus hidden somewhere in the Mexican high desert.

It is interesting that the NOAA GOES satellite tracks clouds and lightning moving through Texas and Oklahoma, but doesn't track their origins in Mexico. The map starts at the American border, while the weather doesn't have borders, and extreme weather doesn't suddenly appear on the border.
The picture, published in May 2004, shows rotating clouds in their characteristic “stacks of plates” form, generated by a Russian apparatus hidden somewhere in the Mexican mountains, moving eastward and slowing to accumulate into massive supercell engines. While in nature, the supercells form inside the storm.
Due to the intensity and consistency of the nuclear-powered apparatus, it produces specific, ready-to-use clouds that, over time, accumulate into massive “engines”-supercells, producing record-long tracks, intense, and deadly tornadoes that can affect several states at once, as the nuclear power source is inexhaustible.
The picture shows that the rotating clouds form long before the storm starts and far away from the storm's area. As in nature, the storm, which is the clash of two contrasting fronts, generates rotation, the driving force behind the messy, rare supercell formation.
On radar, they exhibit a characteristic "bow echo.” This rare phenomenon can be produced artificially and on an industrial scale using Russian nuclear-powered apparatus. And only the necessity to presume “naturality” of the process limits the Russians' ability to weaponize tornadoes.

While naturally produced supercells are chaotic and compete with one another, which, in most cases, neutralizes them, the apparatus produces what is known as “lone supercells,” which, being unimpeded by competing supercells, generate the longest-lasting and most destructive tornado outbreaks, with the deadliest effects. Also, given the modern apparatus's flexibility and mobility, it can target more populated areas, causing damage in such a way.
Injection of Artificial “Supercell” as Reason for Tornado Alley Eastward Shift or Expansion
The key to a super-long tornado is a parent supercell, a rare and extremely destructive phenomenon. It is a large, highly organized, long-lasting rotating thunderstorm (the "parent" storm) capable of producing deadly, serial tornadoes and affecting several states for many hours.
Parent cells are a rare occurrence that has become more common in the US lately, which could be explained by the injection of artificial parent supercells. The rare natural phenomenon can be reproduced on an industrial scale using Russian nuclear-powered apparatus.

At the same time, if there is an understanding of how Russian machinery for supercell/tornado production works, it is easy to track the source of the supercells and neutralize the generator, whether placed in the Mexican desert or any other place in the US, and in such a way to prevent the massive intensification of tornado outbreaks, weaponized by Putin.
