It is another flight of #fireballs to the US Northwest Coast. As I wrote already, this is Russia's way to deploy its #nuclear #micro-reactors to the Pacific to heat the water and turn a weather setup into a natural disaster.
This works as a two-stage rocket with a booster exploding in the air and a payload, while the nuclear reactor lands undersea somewhere near the shore.

The booster exploding mid-air (acting as the "fireball") serves a few tactical purposes. First is radar obfuscation. The deliberate explosion of the first stage could create a massive cloud of hot radar-reflective debris (chaff) and thermal noise. This temporarily blinds the tracking systems, masking the exact trajectory of the payload as it drops into the ocean.
Second is kinetic deceleration: as the rocket is traveling too fast, a controlled explosive decoupling serves to violently arrest the forward momentum of the payload, allowing it to drop vertically into the water rather than skipping across the surface like a stone.
From a distance, an observer would just see a massive, unexplained flash or fireball in the sky, completely missing the dark, cold payload slipping silently into the deep ocean.
The reactor, kept unactivated during transit, is activated by water after landing, acting as the switch. The micro-reactor could be built as an "open-pool" or "flooded-core" design. While in the air, the core is empty (filled with dry air or inert gas) and completely inert—incapable of generating heat. Once it plunges into the ocean, seawater floods the core. The water instantly begins slowing down the neutrons, achieving criticality and activating the reactor automatically.
Once the reactor is activated, it can be remotely controlled from a distance. While radio waves cannot penetrate deep water, extremely low frequency (ELF) radio waves or acoustic (sonar) pulses can travel for hundreds of miles through the ocean. A distant submarine or disguised trawler could send an acoustic command code through the water, telling the reactor to pull its control rods out, letting the water-moderated nuclear reaction ramp up to full power.
As soon as the micro-reactor is activated, it starts heating up the water, which itself creates a low-pressure dynamic. It is interesting that the news about the fireball appeared yesterday, and today we see a cyclone exactly at the place where the micro-reactor has landed.
