After a short respite, the hurricane-producing machine is back in business. There are three active hurricanes (one in the making) in the Eastern Pacific again. All three are potentially damaging to the parts of the US, Hawaii, and the Southwest that were already severely damaged by severe weather.
The trajectories, durability, and damage produced depend on the jet stream, which could be manipulated to some extent, turning natural extreme weather events into weapons or, in some cases, generating them, exploiting preexisting conditions.
The result is not assured, as too many components should be taken into account, compared to conventional weapons, but the process itself is captivating. Especially because of its impunity and a feeling of superiority or self-deification it generates, as only deities can weaponize the weather.
