The heat wave in Europe is not a weather variability, but a fundamental climate change, intentionally induced by Russia. Cooking heat is part of the new continental European climate, just as freezing winters are. Until now, the continental climate, characterized by extreme temperature differences between long, freezing winters and brief, warm summers, has been inherent for Russia.
Europe has benefited from a mild climate without sharp whiplashes or extremes, thanks to the Gulf Stream/AMOC, which acts as a heater in winter and an air conditioner in summer. This was always seen by the Russians as an unfairness that should be eliminated. Restoring climate fairness is how the Russians justify the climate warfare they wage against Europe and the rest of the world.
However, the #GulfStream/#AMOC strength and outreach have diminished significantly due to Russia's intentional melting of the Arctic since the 60s, when nuclear energy was mastered.
Russia's massive nuclear icebreaker fleet's first priority has always been breaking and melting the Arctic ice to improve the Russian climate, which automatically destroys the European climate.
Since 2014, #Arctic melting has accelerated rapidly. After the illegal occupation of Crimea, Russia started a quick reorientation to China. To activate the Northern Sea Route (#NSR), Russia's main transport artery to China, it had to melt the Arctic. As well as after Russia has lost access to Western technologies for working with the permafrost, the only way to access the oil and mineral deposits was to melt the Arctic.
2015 was the year the cold blob suddenly appeared due to Arctic melting. The decade since 2015 has been the one during which global warming has suddenly accelerated after a pause.
Cold BLob Weaponized
Initially, a cold blob appeared as an unintended result of the Arctic melting. However, very quickly, Russia, after understanding how the cold blob influences both global currents and European weather, intentionally weaponized it.
The cold blob, which acts as a weather block, can create prolonged heat waves or repeated storms and rain for weeks, leading to severe floods. Rather than the free movement of air masses, when rain is replaced by sunny days instead of intentionally stalled patterns, the weather is mild and harmonious.
In the same way, Russia weaponized the Polar Vortex, which not only creates extreme weather patterns but also accelerates Arctic melting, leading to both destructive weather and fundamental climate change.
I have been writing about this for years, but only now is the connection between the Arctic melting and the American and European climate starting to be noticed due to massive climate change.
Propaganda and disinformation make art of the climate war, as when the situation is seen clearly and meddling/de facto attacks are exposed, the problem can be resolved.
